Justas Top 102 Songs in 2010 (102-69)

This was a great year for music right? So good that I had to make a list like every other music blog out there. Well I added two more songs on my list just to be a little different and unlike most music writers/bloggers who want to be all in with the hipsters and such, I am posting predominantly hip-hop, and R&B/Soul music, because I felt that this was this genre in general was just releasing more good music than any other this year. Without further ado, I now present to you...

102-69

102)Thugnificent & Will .I. Am -Dick Riding Obama

Bobo sent me this video the day the trailer came out. This song was hilarious, yet at the same time held so much truth.

101)Antoine Dodson ft Kelly Dodson-Bed Intruder Song

So by now we all know the story of Antoine Dobson and his 15 minutes of fame. Can't deny how catchy this song was though when all was said and done. And you can go run tell that...homeboy.

100) Wale-The MC

Ill put it like this, Wale is a good MC, yet he compromises way too much for my taste now days. Cannot front on this jam from the More About Nothing Mixtape.

99)Lykke-Li-Get Some

This is a jam for the hipsters for sure, yet it goes still for me. I love this womanwork and wish her the best of success in 2011 with her follow-up album. I love the aggressive nature of the song as well. The tribal drums are insane.

98)Charles Hamilton- Humble Beginnings

I don't know whats up with this guys life now. One minute he's institutionalized the next he has cancer and is dying. All I know is he has talent and if he could just focus in more on that it might begin to take away a bit of the Looney Tunes from this guy.

97)Shad-Keep Shining

Almost made my top 10 albums with his follow TSOL album. This song is great though and I love the message behind it. We do need more woman in rap to share their stories. The music is way too one-sided and doesn't have a good balance when it comes to woman. Preach on Shad I agree with you 100%.

96)Mariah Carey ft The Dream, & Ludacris Ribbon(remix)

Mariah, Luda and The Dream...do I need to say more? Well if I did this is a slow jam to turn off the lights to for sure.

95)R.Kelly- Love Letter(Christmas mix)

I really am disgusted that this man never went to jail, despite that though I can't deny his talents.

This is one of those jams that you can put on with the fam and decorate the Christmas tree too.

94)Diggy Simmons Ft Lupe Fiasco & Pharrell- Oh Yeah

Pharrell killed his verse... oh and Lupe did what he has been doing for years. This Diggy kid though... the verdict is still out on this guy.

93) Kidz in The Hall ft Marsha Ambrosis- Win II Win

What I liked about this jam besides the beat was the flow and the story. I think Kidz in The Hall are right on the verge of greatness. Every-time release gets better and better.

92)B.o.B ft Charles Hamilton-Fool For Love

One question real quick, Why was this song not on his album? Would of went perfect with the pop friendly sound he had going on. Charles goes in on his verse as well.

91)Trey Songz-Alone

Definitely a song I want to be playing after the club. Mid-tempo banger from Mr Steal Your Girl.

90)Curren$y-Breakfast

The Mos Def production is great on this one, as well as Young Spitta doing his thing. Love getting up in the morning to this jam.

89)Rhymefest- Prosperity

The production was so-so on this one, but the concept was brilliant. I love the fact that Che, questions all the prosperity gospel preaching going on this day. Who would have thought this would come from a proclaimed Muslim as well.. Christian music artist need to step their game up.

88)The Knux ft Nadlege-Floozy

Thought this would pop in the clubs, I was wrong. Well at least from where I am at. It might of somewhere but most club DJ's where I live would rather give in to the masses and play Gaga, Usher, or that old Mark Morrison(sigh).

87)David Banner & 9th Wonder ft Marsha Amrbosis & Ludacris- Be With You

Who would of thought that David Banner would ever be working with 9th Wonder? These are different times indeed. I just love the fact there is another good hip-hop song that I can listen to with a woman(not girl huge difference)\

86)Cee-Lo ft Phillip Bailey- Fool For You

Phillip Bailey(of Earth Wind & Fire) peaked my interest enough on this one. The actual song is wonderful as well. Grown folks music right here.

85)Curren$y ft Stalley-Adresss

Ain't nothing changed but the address...This guy just delivers some quality music.

84) Jazimine Sullivan-Holding You Down(Goin In Circles)

Her voice is remarkable, and the fact that she can make an overused break-beat sound fresh again too? That is more than enough for this song to be included on this list.

83)Yelawolf-Trunk Muzik

Dudes flow is ridiculous. He has mad styles and such and I can't think of another track that showcases it better.

82)Keri Hilson-Pretty Girl Rock

Mrs Hilson makes a jam that has that female swag on it. I don't mind my little sister listening to songs like this, that actually have a positive message.

81)Estelle ft John Legend, & Nas- We Should Fall

Similar to American Boy, but a little different at the same time. None the less I was playing this all summer long the same.

80)Slum Village ft Posdnuos, Phife, & J. Dilla- Scheming

Best song on the album. Plus some of the best MC's of all time guest verse on this as well. Can't complain about that.

79)Redman ft Method Man & Bun B-Lite One Witcha Boi

I am not a smoker, but this joint goes. That beat is so futuristic and this trio can do no wrong after that City Lights banger on Blackout 2.

78)Drake- Show Me A Good Time

Great song to celebrate to. I was on a party bus when I felt the full effects of this songs power. I had to choose this over the sequel Rick Ross's Live Fast & Die Young. The lyrics of this one are a little more relate-able to me.

77)Raheem Devaughn-My Wife

Some more grown music right here. A wonderful song about just being ready for that moment in life when your ready to kiss the game goodbye.

76) Eryka Badu-Turn Me Away(Get Munny)

Mrs Badu makes anything fresh. Yes we already heard this sampled before, yet it just sounds so good still. She is elite when it comes to music.

75)Foreign Exchange-Don't Wait

Fresh new wave influenced R&B from one of my favorite groups in music today. This is some of that mid-day music as I like to call it. Just chilling with a magazine after doing some house

work sipping on some wine and appreciating life. Love these kind of songs right here.

74)Big K.R.I.T ft Smoke DZA & Curren$y-No Wheaties

You really need to watch out for this guy next year. I have a feeling he is on his way to greatness. His stuff reminds me of Crooked Lettez era David Banner. When he was trying to build off the whole Organized Noize sound. Smooth track to ride too.

73)Raheem Davaughn-Garden Of Love

Great bedroom music right here. This track is on some Love T.K.O, Let's Get It On level right here. Some baby making music for sure.

72)Tiron- 60901

The drums are crazy on this song. Slow retrospective track for a rainy day ride home for work

71) Yelawolf ft Cyhi the Prince, & Pill- I Wish(remix)

K, I didn't know who Cyhi the Prince was till I heard this, as well as Yelawolf. Pill was already familiar, but all of these three below the radar artist just did their thing on this track. I can't even listen to the original version that has Raekwon on it, cause this one is that lyrically superior.

70)E-40 ft Laroo, The DB'z, Droop-E, B-Slim, -Spend The Night

Great use of a sample right here. I know this must go in The Bay for sure. I would have never thought that E-40 would be spittin over a Bjork sample. Crazy joint right here.

69)Big Boi- Shutterbug

I will never deny the abilities of Scott Storch. He continues to deliver some of the best backing tracks. Just when everyone writes him off, he comes to aid Big Boi with a cosmic funkadelic influenced jam that went throw clubs everywhere.
